GALLERY 654 – Group Exhibition Agreement Overview

Exhibition Basics

  • You’re participating in a group exhibition at Gallery 654

  • The show will have a title, set dates, and a defined number of pieces per artist

  • All work must be original and ready to display

Artwork Delivery + Pickup

  • Drop-off: You’ll bring your work by the agreed deadline

  • Include a full inventory list (title, size, medium, price)

  • Pickup: Unsold work must be picked up after the show by the assigned date

Important:

  • Work left more than 15 days after pickup date may be subject to storage fees or removal

  • The gallery isn’t responsible for unclaimed work

Sales + Commission

  • All sales go through Gallery 654

  • Commission split:

    • Artist receives 80%

    • Gallery retains 20%

Payment:

  • Sent within 14 days after the show ends

  • Includes a sales report

  • Payment is only made after the buyer has fully paid

Insurance + Responsibility

  • The gallery does NOT insure your artwork

  • You’re responsible for:

    • Any damage, loss, or theft

  • Artists are strongly encouraged to carry short-term event insurance

Promotion + Marketing

  • Gallery 654 will promote the show and your work

  • This includes:

    • Social media

    • Website

    • Press + printed materials

By participating:

  • You allow the gallery to use images of your work for promotion

  • No additional payment is provided for image use

Liability (The Legal Stuff, Simplified)

  • You agree not to hold the gallery responsible for issues related to:

    • Your artwork

    • Your participation in the show

  • You’re responsible for your own conduct and materials

Cancellation / Changes

  • Either you or the gallery can cancel with 30 days written notice

  • If canceled:

    • You’ll need to pick up your work within 15 days

Final Notes

  • The agreement you must sign is the full understanding between you and the gallery

  • Any changes must be agreed to in writing

  • Governed by California law
